Being A Cat Mother, All You Need To Know

Deciding that you want to adopt a kitten is first step to being a cat mother.

Cat -child rearing a needs a-lot of patience ,perseverance and efforts.
Its initial phase is definitely not going to be easy.

At times, you might feel like giving it up but, isn’t it so that kittens are like just any other baby . We’re happy to have them because they make everything around you so much bearable. That wont happen initially of-course but definitely in later stages.

• The first step is of-course to adopt a cat from a store or someone who wants to sell out the baby kittens.

• Before you bring the kitty home make sure that the pre requisites are done.

 You need to get him the high quality food that would be good for his immunity and hair coat. I would recommend Royal Cannin

The next pre requisite is to buy him a pack of good quality litter and prepare him a litter tray. For the litter tray you got to take a plastic basin type tub and cover it first with a large size plastic sheet then with a newspaper and then fill it up for about 1 inch with sand and top it up with the scented litter you bought.Also, a bowl for fresh water.

•  Adopt the kitty after 3 to 4 months of her being with her mother before you introduce her to yourself.

•  When she’ll come to your house she is going to create a lot of havoc. Just be patient, let him calm down.

•  Next step is to introduce him to the food and let him feel comfortable and cared.                   Begin sliding your hand on his coat gently and briskly to form a rapo with him 

  Do not forget to introduce him to the litter you had prepared for him or you might end up with spillage by him

•  He will start seeing you as a perform who doesn't wishes to harm him . Make him a comfortable bed to sleep on. It is very important.

•   Keep yourself prepared with certain things amenities like toilet rolls, dettol liquid antiseptic, trash newspapers, a cat litter scooper , Extra large polythene bags and disposable plastic sheets.

•  When you get a new kitty home it is also extremely important to spray him with a ANTI-Tick spray before you give him his first bath.

• Buy your kitty a deworming drug too. It is mandatory. 

•  Bathing method- After you’ve applied the anti tick spray according the instructions given on the product you brought. Prepare your kitty for a bath. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for his HEALTH.

 All you’ll require is a supply of luke warm water through a water pipe or a hand shower, your regular mild shampoo can be use as well and a towel for him. Just let him walk while you spray him with some lukewarm water , apply shampoo first on the limbs then the tail , the back and lastly on his face. Leaving out his eyes. Then wash him thoroughly.

                                                            Give him a bath atleast once a month.

• Clean his eyes with a cotton cloth everyday and his ears.

• You’ve got to throw away the cat faeces everyday through the cat scooper and flush it. Also, change the litter every week or maximum 10 days.

• Cats love threads and balls . So chase them with one.

• Keep them with you wherever you go.
